Chandigarh mayoral polls: SC declares AAP Candidate winner, raps Masih for defacing ballot papers – The Economic Times Video

The Supreme Court on Tuesday declared Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kuldeep Kumar the winner of the Chandigarh mayoral polls. The Apex Court noted that presiding officer Anil Masih made a deliberate attempt to deface eight ballot papers. The SC also ordered the prosecution of Anil Masih for misdemeanour. During the hearing, the CJI asked the judicial officer to show the eight ballots and observed that Masih put a ‘single line’ against the paper.
