Civil War Abigail box-office: ‘Civil War’ vs ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ vs ‘Abigail’: Who is winning box-office battle?


Civil War” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” have dominated the weekend US domestic box-office. ‘Abigail‘ in its debut weekend has made decent box office collection.
While, “Civil War” in its second weekend collected $11 million to take numero uno spot, Abigail raked in $10.2 million. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” continues its dream run in the box-office with a collection of $9.8 million.
In fourth was Lionsgate’s new Guy Ritchie espionage thriller “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”, at $9 million. Ritchie has directed some giant films in the past, including Disney’s 2019 “Aladdin” live-action remake, which took in over $1 billion worldwide.

Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez and Henry Golding star in a heavily fictionalized recounting of a daring operation conducted by British special forces during World War II.

And in fifth was Sony’s new animated action comedy “Spy x Family Code: White”, at $4.9 million. Gross called that a weak opening given “super critics’ reviews and audience scores.”
