‘Fomenting terror and secessionism in J&K’: Amit Shah extends ban on Yasin Malik’s outfit JKLF-Y – The Economic Times Video

MHA on March 16 extended the ban on the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (Mohd. Yasin Malik faction). JKLF has been declared as an ‘unlawful association’ under UAPA for a further period of five years. As per the fresh report received by the MHA, the JKLF-Y is still involved in anti-national and subversive activities. Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X and shared the information. Yasin Malik led the banned outfit called Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front-Yasin faction as its chief. Malik is currently serving life imprisonment in Tihar Jail in a terror funding case. Further, four factions of Jammu Kashmir People’s League were declared ‘unlawful associations’. Home Minister Amit Shah in a post on ‘X’ wrote that Modi govt is committed to suppressing terrorism ruthlessly.
