CRPF revives vandalized Ram Temple in Chhattisgarh, closed since 2003 due to Naxal presence – The Economic Times Video

Sukma (Chhattisgarh): CRPF 74 Corps revived a Hindu Ram Temple and handed it over to the local villagers, which was closed down in 2003 due to Naxal terror on April 08 in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. Speaking to ANI, CRPF 74 Corps Commandant Himanshu Pandey informed, “On March 14, 2023, CRPF set up their camp in Lakhapal. During our area domination process in the Keralapenda village, we saw a temple which was in ruins. The villagers informed us that it was a historical temple and there also used to be an annual fair. The temple was vandalised by the Naxalites in 2003 and they forcefully stopped all the prayers at the temple. The villagers requested the CRPF that the temple be revived. Our CRPF teams and the villagers cleaned up the temple. Now it has been handed over to the villagers.”
