‘Grotesquerie’: All you may want to know about Ryan Murphy’s new horror series


Known for television series like ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘American Crime Story’, producer Ryan Murphy will soon return with another horror series. Ryan Murphy Productions took to Instagram on Friday to announce making another horror drama and dropped a teaser. It uploaded the teaser of ‘Grotesquerie‘ and described it as a “new horror drama series” that will premiere this fall. The text-only teaser doesn’t contain any footage and flashes the names of cast members Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville. The black screen simply voice delivers a monologue.

Audio-delivered teaser

In the audio, Nash-Betts’s character says “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now.” It says further, “There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world – a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness.”

Ryan Murphy returns to 20th Television

According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, Ryan Murphy has returned the 20th Television and signed a new deal with Disney, though it has not been confirmed officially.

No character revealed

The teaser only indicated the involvement of Ryan Murphy and it did not say anything about the plot, characters, and star cast of ‘Grotesquerie’. FX has not yet said anything about the horror show.

Murphy joined hands with FX way back in 2003 when he produced ‘Nip/Tuck’. Later he exhibited his skill of creating horror on crime anthology series ‘American Horror Story’, ‘American Crime Story’ and ‘Feud’. He is also the producer of the upcoming ‘American Sports Story’.
