Ram Gopal Yadav ram mandir: SP’s Ram Gopal Yadav calls Ram Temple ‘bekar’, CM Adityanath says the statement shows the reality of SP

Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav‘s recent comments regarding the Ram temple in Ayodhya have ignited a storm of controversy. Yadav, in a statement, referred to the temple as “bekaar” or “useless,” citing alleged deficiencies in its construction. These remarks have drawn sharp criticism, particularly from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who sees this as a reflection of the stance of the opposition coalition known as the INDIA bloc.Yadav’s statements came during a media interaction when he was questioned about the absence of opposition leaders at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Responding to the queries, he remarked, “Roz Ram ka darshan karte hein” (We pay obeisance to Lord Ram daily) and further asserted, “Wo mandir bekaar ka hai” (That temple is useless).

The SP leader went on to critique the architectural aspects of the temple, alleging that it did not adhere to the principles of Vastu Shastra. He questioned the temple’s layout, pointing out differences with traditional temple structures.

In response, Chief Minister Adityanath condemned Yadav’s remarks, interpreting them as a reflection of the broader attitude of the SP, Congress, and their allies within the INDIA bloc. Adityanath accused them of exploiting religious sentiments for political gain and disrespecting the sanctity of Lord Ram. He warned against challenging the divine authority, citing historical precedents.

History is witness to the fact that whoever has challenged the divine authority has faced misfortune,” he was quoted as saying in a statement here.”Ram Gopal Yadav’s statement is an insult to the Sanatan faith of millions of Ram devotees. The faith of those who have dedicated their entire lives to the Ram Temple is being attacked. Indian society cannot accept this at all,” the CM said, adding that the intention behind the statement was to hurt people’s feelings.Concluding his response, Adityanath criticized what he perceived as the opposition’s strategy of appeasement for vote bank politics, highlighting what he considers to be the true intentions behind such statements.
