Five Palestinians killed in West Bank raid, says Israeli military

The Israeli military reported that five Palestinians were killed during a 12-hour siege in the occupied West Bank on Saturday. According to the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, three fighters, including their Tulkarem leader Alaa Adib, were among the casualties, reported AFP.In the village of Deir al-Ghusun, near Tulkarem, an AFP photographer witnessed a significant military presence. A bulldozer was used to demolish a building, and at least one body was recovered from the debris.The Israeli army and the Shin Bet security service released a joint statement confirming an extensive 12-hour counterterrorism operation in the Tulkarem area. The operation began after Israeli troops encountered gunfire while attempting to neutralize a terrorist cell. Israeli forces responded with live ammunition, shoulder-fired missiles, and other weapons.Prior to the demolition, an army drone targeted the building, resulting in two hits. Afterwards, sappers were deployed to dismantle the structure.
