‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Season 2:Plot revealed. Know about Earthbending, Aang’s new skills, arrest of King Bumi

After Netflix‘s live-action remake of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ became successful and proved to be very popular, its second season is under production. While continuing with the storyline from the original series, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2‘ will make many changes in the plot and introduce a few new characters as well. It will be based on ‘Book 2: Earth’ which will deal with the issue of Earthbending and Aang will learn a new set of skills to maintain the balance between the four elements- Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.

Actors Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, and Maria Zhang talked to Collider’s Perri Nemiroff and revealed a few things that should be expected.

Ian Ousley reveals the plot

Ousley shared insights into the events from Season 1 that will push Sokka forward. He said Sokka realized the harsh realities of life after her girlfriend Yue’s sacrifice in the war with the Fire Nation. Sokka was filled with deep remorse and a sense of guilt. Ousley will portray the state of mind of Sokka and the mannerisms of the character.

What will Sokka do now?

Ian Ousley told ‘Collider’, “We focus in the series on Sokka losing his first girlfriend, originally, and I think that’s going to take him a while to kind of emotionally mature and to be ready to open up his heart again, possibly? I think that’s going to kind of, just seeing that much war.”

He added that it was the responsibility of Sokka to protect Yue, but he failed to accomplish his goal. It will further open up a lot more for Sokka. Ousley said that he is very excited to see how he focuses on his humor and relationships in the future.

Developments within the Earth Kingdom revealed

With the finale of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Season 2, major developments within the Earth Kingdom begin. It will show the capture of King Bumi (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and Omashu in preparation for a takeover of Ba Sing Se by Azula (Elizabeth Yu). Meanwhile, the threat of Sozin’s Comet looms large on the horizon. However, series creator Albert Kim does not go deep into it and concentrates on creating the action.
