ICICI Bank manager kidnapped, then rescued in Bollywood-style operation across three states

A kidnapping drama unfolded with a ransom demand of Rs 50 lakh, a meticulously planned rendezvous, and an unexpected twist involving a former tenant turned perpetrator, all spanning across three states, creating a plot worthy of a Bollywood blockbuster. The arrest of Bhupendra by the Faridabad police, along with his wife, marked the climax of this real-life saga with the daring rescue of 30-year-old ICICI Bank manager. The bank manager, employed in Delhi, fell victim to the abduction from his residence in Faridabad on April 21, triggering a frantic search and legal action, according to a TOI report.
Prompt action by the Faridabad police followed specific intelligence from Satish’s family regarding a planned meeting with the abductors in Keli, Ballabgarh. The arrest unfolded dramatically as Bhupendra, a 30-year-old petrol pump worker, was apprehended while collecting a portion of the ransom from Satish’s wife, with Satish himself found in the company of Bhupendra’s wife.

Investigations revealed Bhupendra’s previous tenancy at Satish’s residence in Ballabgarh, establishing a crucial link to the crime. Bhupendra, in collaboration with cab driver Ravindra from Badshapur, meticulously planned the kidnapping, conducting reconnaissance of the victim’s home before executing their scheme. Armed with firearms, they forcibly took Satish from his home, leaving behind a scene of chaos and terror, according to the police.

Satish’s harrowing ordeal extended from Haryana to Himachal Pradesh and eventually to Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, where the kidnappers demanded a hefty ransom from his family. Negotiations eventually led to a reduced ransom demand of Rs 5 lakh, with the family complying by depositing Rs 1 lakh into Satish’s account.

The final act of the abduction played out near Keli bypass road in Ballabgarh, where Bhupendra’s capture and Satish’s rescue brought an end to the ordeal. Subsequent investigations and raids led to the recovery of incriminating evidence, including firearms, ammunition, and cash.

While Bhupendra’s arrest provided a significant breakthrough, the search for Ravindra, his accomplice, continues.
