Delhi’s temperature to persist between 34 to 38 °C: IMD Scientist Soma Sen Roy – The Economic Times Video

As the summer heat intensifies, IMD Scientist Soma Sen Roy gave an update about the weather in Delhi and other North Indian states for the upcoming couple of days on April 20. She mentioned about the western disturbance that North Indian regions faced for the last couple of days. Speaking to ANI, the IMD Scientist said, “If you see the weather in North India, we had a very intense western disturbance that moved over the North Indian region; associated with it we had thunderstorms and hailstorms, specially over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan. Rainfall was also moderate in Himalayan regions. Today we are expecting this western disturbance gradually move towards the eastwards during the course of the day; associated with it we expect light thunderstorm activity to continue over the western Himalayan region…. In North India, these series of western disturbances bringing the temperature down. We are not getting widespread heat wave activity like other years yet. Temperature will persist between 34 to 38 degree Celsius.”
