LSG vs PBKS Pitch Report

The match between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take place on 30th March at 7.30 p.m. at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Lucknow Super Giants are getting ready to welcome Punjab Kings in the tournament’s 11th game at the Ekana Cricket Stadium as they make their first trip home in the IPL 2024. The Super Giants are positioned last in the standings and enter this game fresh off a loss to the Rajasthan Royals in their opener.

Punjab Kings has one victory from their first two games; they lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru after defeating Delhi Capitals in their first game. Teams are preparing for the challenge at a different location by outlining their strategies in advance of the game.

This is the first LSG vs. PBKS match of the 2024 Indian Premier League. According to the rules, the Punjab and Lucknow teams will play each other at least once more this season during the league rounds.

Pitch report:

The Ekana Cricket Stadium’s surface is challenging for hitters and a bowler’s dream. Teams have found it challenging to score freely on it, as seen by the tournament’s most recent season. At the Ekana, two different kinds of pitches are used: red soil surfaces and black soil surfaces. Because deliveries often grip and come slowly onto the bat, batters have an even worse time with the black earth surface. The balls bounce and spin more easily on a red surface than a black one. On a red-soil field, scoring runs is somewhat simpler. On this ground, average scores lean toward the lower end. The highest score at Ekana is merely 159, despite the fact that the average is 152. At this site, one might anticipate a low-scoring thriller because the pitch doesn’t usually offer large totals.
