INDIA bloc rally: Delhi Police issues traffic advisory for INDIA Bloc’s ‘Loktantra Bachao Rally’


The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the ‘Loktantra Bachao Rally‘ organized by the opposition INDIA bloc, scheduled for Sunday, March 31. The rally, slated to be held at the Ramleela ground, will witness the presence of prominent leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav.

“The general public and motorists are requested to cooperate by avoiding or bypassing the roads, if possible, and by making maximum use of public transport, especially metro services,” the advisory said.

According to the advisory, there will be traffic regulation and potential restrictions on several routes from 9 am to 3 pm. These routes include the Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Vivekanand Marg, Hamdard Chowk, JLN Marg, Ajmeri Gate, and Chaman Lal Marg near VIP Gate, Guru Nanak Chowk to Turkman Gate.

Additionally, traffic diversion may be enforced on Rajghat Chowk, Minto Road, DDU Marg, Mirdard Chowk, Paharganj Chowk, A-Point, and Delhi Gate from 9 am onwards. The advisory also mentioned that traffic regulations and diversions will be subject to review and updates as necessary.

“People going towards ISBT, railway station, or airport have been advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand,” it added.

“The general public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline, follow the directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections, and remain updated through,” the advisory emphasized.In light of the event, commuters are urged to cooperate by avoiding the affected roads if possible and making use of public transport, especially metro services. Travelers heading towards ISBT, railway stations, or the airport are advised to plan their journeys in advance to account for possible delays. The general public and motorists are reminded to exercise patience, adhere to traffic rules, follow instructions from traffic personnel, and stay informed through official channels.
