After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, he wants to keep himself busy and active, so the detective reopens a case to investigate whether he put the right person behind bars. He is contacted by Emily Dietz from Project Clean Hands, a group that attempts to free wrongly convicted people. The group takes up the case of Isaac Samuel, a death row inmate Freeman arrested and got him convicted for the murder of college professor Joseph Wieder.
