Kalyana Karnataka Lok Sabha Elections: Past election results
The 2023 assembly elections witnessed a significant shift in Karnataka’s political landscape. While the BJP emerged as the single largest party in the 2018 assembly elections, winning 17 seats to the Congress’s 19, the 2023 polls saw the Congress making substantial gains with 26 seats, compared to the BJP’s 10. The Janata Dal (Secular) JD(S) also secured two seats, with two others winning from the region.

The BJP’s dominance in the region has faced challenges, with the Congress performing well in several constituencies in the 2023 assembly polls. Bidar supported the BJP in 2023, giving it four out of six assembly seats, while Kalaburagi favored the Congress, with the party winning seven out of nine seats.

The electoral battle in Karnataka is expected to be intense, with the Congress, BJP, and JD(S) vying for dominance. As the parties gear up for the elections, issues such as corruption, unemployment, and inflation are expected to play a significant role in shaping the election outcome in the state.
