Lok Sabha polls: BJP introduces hotline number to engage NRIs with party’s campaign. Check details
Under the direction of BJP National President JP Nadda, the campaign was led by the BJP’s Videsh Vibhag, highlighting the important role that NRIs play in promoting democratic involvement and supporting India’s electoral process.
A dedicated hotline number, +91 8076707532 (WhatsApp/Mobile), has been set up as part of this program to respond to inquiries, offer information, and link NRIs with their local constituencies to help them campaign for the BJP during the elections.
The goal of this hotline is to help NRIs who want to volunteer for the general elections of 2024 communicate and get support. With this endeavor, the party hopes to engage the Indian diaspora around the world in its campaign and utilize their contributions within a democratic framework.
Vijay Chauthaiwale, the head of the BJP’s international affairs department, had announced that the party is inviting more than 25 foreign political parties to watch the Lok Sabha elections in India.
Since the BJP is the biggest party in the world and India is the birthplace of democracy, there is a great deal of interest in the BJP’s campaign among international players. We have invited several political parties from around the world to observe how the BJP campaigns, possibly for the first time in the history of Indian electoral politics, Chauthaiwale said.We are doing two different kinds of initiatives. The first is an online one aimed at the diaspora, in which numerous social media campaigns, the posting of films, etc. Thus, outside of India, this is what they are doing.We are pleading with the hundreds of people who have planned to go to India for the campaign to stay here for at least two weeks. We have already received the names of over 1000 people who have registered, and there will be many more who will be arriving directly, he further added.
