After the original run, RCN produced a sequel series in 2001, which ran for one season. ‘Ugly Betty,’ the American adaptation, ran for four seasons on ABC, starring America Ferrera. Telemundo also produced its version in 2019, titled ‘Betty in NY,’ starring Elyfer Torres.
