‘The Tyrant’ narrates the thrilling story of the race to find a biological weapon that has been stolen during a secret handover between Korean and US intelligence agencies. The official synopsis suggests that the Korean government’s plan is exposed by U.S. intelligence agencies after years of toiling away on a secret project. The US becomes furious at being kept in the dark about the project and it demands all samples be handed over and the project be closed down. But it does not happen, rather, the agents from both sides work together to avoid the new formula from falling into the wrong hands.

Park Hoon-jung will make his streaming debut with ‘The Tyrant’. His recent productions include ‘The Witch: Part 1’, ‘The Subversion’, ‘The Witch: Part 2’, ‘One, Night in Paradise’ and ‘The Childe’.
According to ‘ScreenDaily’, ‘The Tyrant’ has been pre-sold to Germany, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Thailand, Film) and CIS. It made its world premiere in Toronto last year and has received further post-production before its expected release this August.
