To manage the situation, the airport deployed 22 tankers equipped with vacuum pumps to remove water from its premises.In anticipation of Thursday’s rainfall, authorities advised residents to remain indoors, encouraging remote work and online schooling.While Thursday’s rain did not lead to significant issues or flooding, authorities issued warnings the day before and implemented precautionary measures.The flooding experienced two weeks prior overwhelmed the UAE’s drainage systems, inundating neighborhoods, business districts, and sections of the Sheikh Zayed Highway, a major thoroughfare connecting Dubai with the neighboring emirate of Abu Dhabi.
