Prajwal Revanna’s sex videos: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to get Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna’s (JDS) diplomatic passport cancelled and his swift return to India to face the police investigation into the charges of sexual exploitation of women.

Within hours, Revanna Jr posted a message on social media saying he has sought time to appear before the SIT, CID as he is not in Bengaluru. Truth will come out soon, he said. His advocate has requested the SIT to give the MP seven days of time to appear before it.

He is the grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda and fought the April 26 Lok Sabha polls as NDA candidate from Hassan.

The former PM and uncle HD Kumaraswamy have distanced themselves from Revanna Jr and the party suspended him from the primary membership on Tuesday and hoped the SIT investigation would uncover the truth.

The CM, in his letter, said the allegations Revanna Jr was facing were horrific and shameful and have shaken the conscience of the country.The SIT has started the investigation, but the MP had flown out of the country on April 27 using his diplomatic passport, sensing an impending arrest by the police. Getting him back was of utmost importance so that he faced the investigation as per the law, the letter said. The CM urged the PM to intervene with the external affairs ministry (EAM) and Home Ministry to take swift action to cancel his diplomatic passport and use the diplomatic and police channels as well as the international police to get the MP back to India. The JDS on Tuesday suspended Revanna Jr from the primary membership of the party after the Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy families distanced themselves from him, and hoped the SIT investigation would uncover the truth.
