Uttar Pradesh Core Group Meeting
The meeting commenced with a focus on Uttar Pradesh, with key leaders such as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in attendance. Discussions revolved around the formulation of a strategy to address the loss of seats and a specific plan for the Rae Bareli and Mainpuri seats. Additionally, deliberations were held regarding the upcoming MLC elections.
West Bengal Core Group Meeting
The second phase of the meeting centered on West Bengal, with State President Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari among the attendees. The discussion primarily revolved around the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state, with a particular focus on recent incidents such as the vandalism in Sandesh Khali. Plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies in Arambag district and Krishnanagar on March 1 and 2, respectively, were also discussed.
Telangana Core Group Meeting
The Telangana Core Group meeting, held as the third phase, featured Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and other prominent leaders. The party announced its intention to contest independently for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, emphasizing a strategic approach to secure a majority in the 2024 elections and regain lost seats.
Chhattisgarh Core Group Meeting
The fourth phase included a meeting of the Chhattisgarh Core Group, where discussions on fielding Schedule Tribes (ST) in four seats took place. Detailed deliberations were held regarding seats like Korba and Bastar, which the BJP lost in 2019, along with considerations for new faces in Janjgir, Mahasamund, Raipur, Kanker, and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seats.
Rajasthan Core Group Meeting
In the final phase, a meeting of the Rajasthan Core Group was held at the Delhi BJP headquarters, with a focus on all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. He highlighted the party’s ambition to exceed the 370-seat mark and lead the NDA to a total of 400 seats, underscoring the party’s commitment to advancing the nation’s interests over personal or political gain.
