Virginia Beach Police News Conference About Man Mistakenly Detained and Handcuffed at Lynnhaven Mall

Virginia Beach police talk about an incident that happened at Lynnhaven Mall. An officer handcuffed a man, Jamar Mackey, who appeared to match the description of someone who was wanted for a crime a the mall. Mackey wasn’t the person wanted. He was cuffed in front of his fiancee, baby, and 13-year-old son in the food court and removed from the mall before he was released.
