Considered the pink city of India, Jaipur is one of the 25 constituencies of Rajasthan that will undergo polling for the power-packed 18th Lok Sabha in the coming months. It comprises the city of Jaipur and parts of Sanganer tehsil, both in Jaipur district. Apart from independent candidates, the power in this constituency has been swinging between Congress and BJP. For the past two Lok Sabha polls, Ramcharan Bohara has been the major player who has been emerging victorious with a huge majority.
Jaipur Lok Sabha 2024: Date
The poll panel of India is set to announce the date for the 18th Lok Sabha on March 16 at 3 pm. ECI has announced that the date for the Lok Sabha and some state assembly polls will be announced together. The national parties are yet to announce names for the royal seat in Rajasthan. It is expected that the parties will reveal the names of the candidates for Jaipur in the coming weeks as the polling date inches closer. Till now, BJP and Congress have both revealed two lists of candidates that are contesting for the 18th Lok Sabha polls.
