Both Songs by Doc & Merle Watson – Blue ridge mountain blues was written in 1924 by a guy called Cliff Ness who was born and raised in Caroline County VA. Great song but i don’t understand the verse “My grip is packed to travel and I’m scratching gravel” ??????
