Lynchburg, Virginia is located just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s known as The Hill City because it is surrounded by 7 hills. The original 7 hills are College Hill, Garland Hill, Daniel’s Hill, Federal Hill, Diamond Hill, White Rock Hill, and Franklin Hill. Lynchburg is home to Liberty University and is rich in history. The downtown has experienced a tremendous rebirth with new restaurants, hotels and shopping. Located above the James River you’ll find a beautiful restored area known as Riverfront Park.
