Threats of Industrial Metal Mining in Virginia – Press Conference (Dec. 13, 2021)

On December 13, 2021, a coalition of Virginia-based environmental organizations held a press conference to announce statewide work to protect the welfare of VA communities from industrial metal mining.

Updates include Gov. Northam’s approval of a gold mining study, new legislation being introduced to the Virginia General Assembly, and a statewide petition forwarded by the Press Pause Coalition.
